Outstanding - Double-Gold at IDM
June 16, 2013: The Rhineland-Palatinate Karate location Simmern is proving ground for Sabina Avdic.
At the International German Championship (IDM) in the Hunsrück mountain range the Tettnang Karate fighter repeated her double success from last year.
Despite international participation the strogest competitors of this year's championship originated from the own country.
In the U18 class over 60 kg Sabina put her persistant contender Vivian Kroyer from the BSV Gleiding (Region Hannover, Lower Saxony) in her place during quarter finals.
In the final SA met an acquaintance from her own club - Katharina Jakob from 'Karate Team Bodensee'.
The lightweight Sabina Avdic, who started in the next lower weight class as well, prevailed at the final in a high-class heavyweight fight against her club mate.
Stil greater was the home clubs junior competition in the category up to 60 kg.

May 12, 2013: The "WKU Nations Cup" in Esslingen ends with great success for Junior Vice World Champion Sabina Avdic despite injury.
As the only one among the junior-starters of the 'Karate Team Bodensee' [KTB] the Tettnang athlete scored two top rankings at the rating tournament in Esslingen again.
Just like a few weeks before - at the Germany Cup in Öhringen - Sabina won the competition in the class up to 60 kg and celebrated - in a final against Verena Haeberle [also KTB] - her second victory of the new season.
Karate Season 2013 opened spectacularly
April 20, 2013: Sabina Avidić starts Karate Season 2013 with Gold- and Silver-Medals at the "WKU Deutschlandpokal"
Among the Under-18 Juniors of the WKU (World Kickboxing and Karate Union, former WKA) the Tettnang top karateka set two exclamation marks at the start of this years season. Although the young elite athlete had to worry about being able to compete with reduced opportunities due to an injury, Sabina again started in two weight classes at the Germany Cup in Öhringen. And again she won two top rankings.
In the final to 60 kg, Sabina won against their club colleague Emily Neumann and overtook the title in this category.

September 27, 2012: Karateka from Tettnang wins Silver Medal at the WKA World Championships in Florida
Sabina Avdic is - after winning the 2011 World Championship in Germany - successfull again in 2012 by managing the leap onto the championship podium in the US.
In a purely German final, Sabina had only been beaten by her team-mate Kim Witt.
In the final fight of the Germany Cup six months ago Sabina could overcome her this year's World Cup final opponent yet. Today, however, Kim was ahead of the game and became Junior World-Champion in Karate Kumite (class "60 kg").
